2-in-1 Winter Shell Gloves, Explained

These are non-heated insulated shell gloves with two wearing modes. Wear them alone for passive warmth, or place them over a separately sold compatible heated liner when battery-powered warmth is preferred.

Wear the Shell Alone

Built-in 3M insulation and an internal waterproof membrane provide a practical non-heated option for commuting, outdoor chores, everyday winter use and time in light rain or snow.

Add a Heated Liner

Layer the shell over Dragonfly or Spider Silk when you want active warmth. Leave enough interior space for comfortable finger movement and normal circulation.

Before You Choose

2-in-1 Winter Shell Gloves FAQ

Answers about heating, included items, liner compatibility, sizing and winter-weather use.

What does “2-in-1” mean for these winter shell gloves?

It refers to two wearing modes. Wear the insulated shell glove on its own for passive warmth, or wear it over a separately sold compatible heated liner for active warmth. It does not mean that a removable liner is included.

Are Yellowstone and Summit of Kunlun heated gloves?

No. Both are non-heated insulated shell gloves with no heating elements, batteries or charging system. Battery-powered warmth is available only when a compatible heated liner is worn underneath.

What is included with each pair?

Each product includes one pair of non-heated shell gloves. Heated liners, batteries, chargers and other heated-glove accessories are not included and must be purchased separately.

Which compatible heated liner should I choose?

Dragonfly is the lowest-bulk option and prioritizes finger movement. Spider Silk is slightly thicker and adds flip-top thumb and index access. Feather may fit, but its thicker construction can feel crowded.

What is the difference between Yellowstone and Summit of Kunlun?

Yellowstone uses a full goatskin palm, a DWR-treated polyester back and an extended drawcord cuff. Summit of Kunlun uses a synthetic PU palm and a shorter hook-and-loop cuff. Both include 3M insulation, an internal waterproof membrane and touchscreen thumb and index fingertips.

How should I choose a size for layering?

Measure the circumference and length of both hands and use the larger measurements. When adding a heated liner, the shell should leave enough room to bend the fingers naturally without tightly compressing both layers. Review the Arcfomor glove size guide before ordering.

Can these shell gloves be used in rain or snow?

Both models include an internal waterproof membrane and are suitable for ordinary winter use in light rain and snow. Yellowstone also has a DWR-treated polyester back. Neither model is intended for heavy rain, prolonged soaking or submersion, and no specific waterproof-test rating is claimed.
