Not all winter gear can withstand extreme cold. Niagara Stone is designed specifically for skiers, high-altitude adventurers, and commuters in frigid regions.

Unlike traditional five-finger gloves, Niagara Stone features a thermodynamically efficient mitt design—creating a highly efficient “thermoregulating chamber” by keeping fingers together to share heat. It seamlessly combines the Arcfomor core’s 7.4V high-voltage heating system with 3M Thinsulate™ insulation, paired with premium goatskin palms and a waterproof, breathable membrane, to provide unmatched warmth and protection for every adventure in sub-zero conditions.

How to Measure Your Hand for the Perfect Glove Fit

Finding the right glove size is essential for comfort and functionality. Here's a simple guide to measure your hand correctly:

  • Hand Circumference:
  1. Lay your dominant hand flat, palm up, without stretching your fingers.
  2. Use a flexible tape measure.
  3. Place the tape measure around the fullest part of your hand, just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb—this is your 'hand circumference'.
  4. Wrap the tape measure from the crook of the thumb around the outer edge of the palm.

  • Hand Length:
  1. Measure from the tip of your longest finger to the base of your palm, right where the wrist begins—this is your 'hand length'.
  2. Keep the measure straight and snug, not tight.

  • Sizing Chart:
  1. Refer to the glove sizing chart. Match your measurements to the closest size. If your measurements are between sizes, choose the larger size.
  2. Note that sizing may vary slightly from style to style, depending on the insulation level of the gloves.

Size Ranges:

  1. Small: For a 'Cycle Length' (hand circumference) of 7.5"-8" (19.5-20.5CM) and 'Length' of 7.5"-8" (19.5-20.5CM).
  2. Medium: If you measure a 'Cycle Length' of 8.5" (21-22CM) and 'Length' of 8"-8.3" (20.5-21CM).
  3. Large: A 'Cycle Length' of 9"-9.5" (22.5-24CM) and 'Length' of 8.3"-8.6" (21-21.5CM).
  4. X-Large: For those with a 'Cycle Length' of 10"-10.5" (24.5-26CM) and 'Length' of 8.3"-8.6" (21-21.5CM).

Tips:

  1. Do not tighten the tape measure too much; it should sit comfortably around your hand.
  2. If you're right-handed, measure your right hand. If you're left-handed, measure your left hand.
  3. For the most accurate results, have someone help you with the measuring.

By following these steps, you can easily determine your glove size and ensure your next pair of gloves will fit just right, providing the maximum comfort and protection against the elements.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why are Niagara Stone Heated Mittens warmer than standard five-finger heated gloves?

It’s a matter of thermal physics. By keeping your fingers together in a shared thermal chamber, the Niagara Stone significantly reduces the surface area exposed to the cold and allows your fingers to share body heat. When combined with our 7.4V high-output heating system, this "mitten" architecture provides the highest level of heat retention in our entire lineup—making it the definitive choice for extreme sub-zero conditions.

2. Are these mittens truly waterproof and durable enough for high-performance skiing?

Absolutely. The Niagara Stone is built for the rugged demands of the mountain. It features an integrated professional-grade waterproof membrane to block moisture from snow and sleet. Furthermore, the palm is reinforced with premium goatskin leather, and the heating elements are laboratory-tested for over 1,000 large-angle bending cycles, ensuring they can withstand the constant grip and vibration of ski poles.

3. Can I effectively use my smartphone or GPS while wearing these mittens?

Yes. We have integrated Smart Connect technology into the fingertips, allowing for high-sensitivity touchscreen operation. While mittens naturally offer less dexterity for typing long messages, you can easily handle essential tasks like checking GPS maps, answering calls, or capturing photos without exposing your hands to the freezing air.

4. What premium materials ensure the insulation and comfort of the Niagara Stone?

We utilize a "tri-layer" defense strategy: Genuine 3M Thinsulate™ for high-loft thermal insulation, a technical windproof shell for climate defense, and an ultra-soft moisture-wicking velvet lining. This combination ensures that your hands remain not only warm but also dry and comfortable, preventing the "clammy" feel often associated with heavy winter gear.

5. Who is the Niagara Stone best suited for?

These mittens are the gold standard for skiers, snowboarders, and high-altitude hikers who prioritize maximum warmth over fine-motor dexterity. They are also highly recommended for individuals with Raynaud’s syndrome or chronic cold sensitivity, as the enclosed 7.4V heating environment provides a deep-soothing thermal relief that traditional gloves cannot match.
