VELLUM 2.0

Heated Goatskin Gloves for Riding and Outdoor Work

Vellum 2.0 combines a full goatskin exterior and lower-bulk palm with adjustable 7.4V heat. These heated work gloves are designed for horseback riding, barn chores, snow removal, firewood handling and other cold-weather tasks where grip still matters.

What Changed in Vellum 2.0?

A More Standard Fit

Updated sizing brings Vellum 2.0 closer to a standard glove fit.

Reduced Palm Thickness

Less bulk through the palm provides a closer feel on reins, handles and everyday tools.

Grid-Textured Lining

The updated lining adds interior grip and helps reduce movement between the hand and glove.

Goatskin Construction, Warmth and Weather Coverage

Full Goatskin Shell and Palm

Goatskin covers both the outer shell and palm. It provides a flexible grip and everyday resistance to surface wear during routine winter work without turning Vellum into a heavily padded glove.

Warmth Without a Thick Palm

The adjustable 7.4V heating system offers three heat settings. 3M Thinsulate is placed across the back of the hand, adding passive warmth without adding the same insulation thickness through the palm.

Wet-Weather Coverage and Touchscreen Use

An internal waterproof membrane adds a moisture barrier for rain and wet snow. The gloves are not intended for immersion, and the battery connectors should remain dry. Touchscreen-compatible thumb and index fingertips support common phone controls.

Designed for Riding and Winter Chores

Vellum 2.0 works best when you need active warmth without losing too much contact through the palm. Its construction makes it suitable for several common cold-weather activities:

  • Horseback riding and barn chores: The slimmer palm supports rein contact and routine work around the barn.
  • Snow shoveling and winter cleanup: Adjustable heat and the internal membrane help when clearing walkways or handling cold, wet outdoor equipment.
  • Firewood and light outdoor work: The goatskin exterior provides practical coverage when splitting, carrying or stacking firewood and handling common outdoor tools.

Battery Runtime by Heat Setting

Each set includes two rechargeable 7.4V 3000mAh batteries. Actual runtime varies with outdoor temperature, battery age and charging condition.

High
2.5–4 hours
Medium

Is Vellum 2.0 Right for You?

Choose Vellum 2.0 if you want a standalone rechargeable heated leather glove with more palm contact than a heavily padded snow glove. It is intended for riding, winter chores and light outdoor work rather than use as a thin glove liner.

Vellum 2.0 Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about goatskin construction, fit, weather coverage, battery life, recommended uses and care.

What is Vellum 2.0 designed for?

Vellum 2.0 is designed for horseback riding, barn chores, snow shoveling, firewood handling and other light outdoor work. Its goatskin construction and slimmer palm suit cold-weather tasks that benefit from warmth and a closer grip.

Is Vellum 2.0 made from real goatskin?

Yes. Both the outer shell and palm are goatskin. Vellum 2.0 uses reduced palm thickness, while a grid-textured lining helps limit internal shifting. The thumb and index also support common touchscreen controls.

Is Vellum 2.0 waterproof?

Vellum 2.0 is built with an internal waterproof membrane that adds a barrier against rain and wet snow. The gloves should not be submerged, and the battery connectors should be kept dry.

Where is the 3M Thinsulate insulation used?

3M Thinsulate is placed across the back of the hand rather than throughout the entire glove. This adds passive warmth while helping maintain a lower-bulk palm.

How long do the Vellum 2.0 batteries last?

Each pair includes two rechargeable 7.4V 3000mAh batteries. Approximate runtime is 2.5–4 hours on High, 4–8 hours on Medium and about 10 hours on Low. Actual runtime varies with temperature, battery age and charging condition.

How does Vellum 2.0 fit?

Vellum 2.0 is available in S through XL, and its updated sizing is closer to a standard glove fit. Measure the circumference and length of both hands and use the larger measurements. Review the Arcfomor glove size guide and calculator before ordering.

Is Vellum 2.0 a protective work glove?

The goatskin exterior provides everyday resistance to surface wear, making Vellum 2.0 useful for routine winter chores. It is not cut-resistant, chemical-resistant, impact-rated or certified protective equipment. Use task-specific protective gloves when the work requires them.

How should I clean Vellum 2.0 heated gloves?

Remove both batteries and gently wipe the goatskin exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not machine wash, soak, bleach or tumble dry the gloves. Allow them to air-dry completely away from direct heat before reconnecting the batteries.
