Shipping, Returns & Warranty

  • Ships from US: Orders are typically dispatched within 48 hours.

  • 30-day returns: Eligible unused products may be returned within 30 days of delivery under the current return policy.

Fit & Size

  • Polar Baron is available in S–XL and fits close to standard sizing. Measure the circumference and length of both hands and use the larger measurements when selecting a size.

  • The thicker insulation should feel secure without compressing your fingers or limiting movement. If you are between sizes, use the larger size as your starting point.

What's Included

  • Polar Baron heated gloves: 1 pair
  • 7.4V 3000mAh rechargeable batteries: 2
  • Compatible charger: 1
  • Storage bag: 1

Care & Caution

  • Remove both batteries before cleaning. Spot clean the goatskin shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap when needed.
  • Do not soak, hand wash, machine wash, tumble dry, iron or dry clean. Allow the gloves to air dry fully away from direct heat and sunlight before reconnecting the batteries.
  • Polar Baron can be used for driving, but its thicker construction may reduce fine hand control. Confirm that you can operate the steering wheel, switches and other controls comfortably before driving.
  • Polar Baron can be used for cold-weather motorcycling, but it is not a purpose-built motorcycle glove and does not include hard-shell impact protection. Do not use it for track riding, professional racing or work that requires impact, cut, chemical or other task-specific protection.

Full-goatskin winter construction

Substantial Warmth With Five-Finger Control

Polar Baron is designed for people who want more insulation than a slim or mid-weight glove but prefer individual-finger movement over a mitten. Its full-goatskin shell, PrimaLoft Gold insulation, waterproof membrane and adjustable 7.4V heating system work together for cold-weather recreation and everyday winter use.

This is intentionally a thicker standalone glove. Expect more material around poles, handles, switches and other controls than you would feel in a lightweight glove.

How the Warmth Layers Work Together

Full goatskin covers both the palm and back of the hand, creating a consistent leather outer shell. Beneath it, PrimaLoft Gold insulation is distributed according to how each side of the hand is used.

The back of the hand receives the heavier insulation layer, while the palm uses a lighter amount to limit unnecessary bulk around poles, handles and equipment. The active heating system is separate from these passive insulation layers.

Waterproofing Beneath the Leather

An internal waterproof membrane provides the main moisture barrier for snow, wet winter weather and normal outdoor exposure. The leather exterior may still become damp during prolonged contact with moisture, while the membrane helps limit water from reaching the interior.

Waterproof construction is not the same as immersion protection. Avoid soaking the gloves and keep the batteries, connectors and charging components dry.

Heat Across the Wind-Facing Side

The active heating elements cover the full back of the hand and the backs of the fingers. The palm and finger pads do not contain heating elements; warmth in those areas comes from the PrimaLoft insulation and the glove’s overall construction.

Use High for initial warm-up or colder, lower-movement periods, then reduce the setting once comfortable to manage battery use.

2.5–4 hours
Medium
4–8 hours
Low
Up to about 10 hours

Estimates are based on the included 7.4V batteries. Actual runtime varies with temperature, wind, battery age, charge condition and changes between heat settings.

Pre-Curved Five-Finger Shape

The pre-curved fingers follow a partially closed hand position to make the thicker construction easier to manage around ski poles, handles and outdoor equipment. Polar Baron still feels more substantial than a lightweight or slim-fit glove.

Reinforced Palm Contact

Reinforcement across the goatskin palm adds friction and wear resistance in high-contact areas. It supports general grip without turning Polar Baron into a hard-shell protective glove.

Touchscreen Expectations

Touchscreen-compatible areas on the thumb and index finger support common actions such as answering a call or checking a map. Detailed typing and very small controls may be less precise in a heavily insulated glove.

Match the Glove to the Activity

Polar Baron works best when substantial insulation matters more than lightweight finger precision.

Well Suited To

  • Skiing and recreational snowboarding
  • Winter hiking and outdoor recreation
  • Snow removal and light outdoor work
  • Cold-weather commuting and general winter use

Driving & Motorcycling

Polar Baron can be used for driving, but its thicker construction may reduce fine hand control. Confirm that you can operate the steering wheel, switches and other controls comfortably before driving.

It can also be used for cold-weather motorcycling, but it is not a purpose-built motorcycle glove and does not include hard-shell impact protection.

Use Boundaries

Do not use Polar Baron for track riding, professional racing or work that requires impact, cut, chemical or other task-specific protection.

Polar Baron Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about construction, heating coverage, waterproofing, battery runtime, sizing, winter activities, touchscreen use and leather care.

What type of heated glove is Polar Baron?

Polar Baron is a thicker standalone 7.4V heated glove with a five-finger design. It is intended for cold-weather recreation and everyday winter activities where substantial warmth is more important than fine hand precision.

What materials and insulation does Polar Baron use?

Polar Baron uses a full goatskin shell, a soft brushed lining and PrimaLoft Gold insulation—150g across the back of the hand and 100g across the palm. An internal waterproof membrane provides the main moisture barrier beneath the leather.

Where are the heating elements in Polar Baron gloves?

The active heating elements cover the full back of the hand and the backs of the fingers. The palm and finger pads are not heated; warmth in those areas comes from the PrimaLoft Gold insulation and the glove’s overall construction.

Are Polar Baron heated gloves waterproof?

Polar Baron includes a waterproof membrane for snow, wet winter weather and normal outdoor moisture. The gloves are not intended for immersion, and the leather exterior may become damp during prolonged exposure. Keep the batteries and connectors dry.

How long do the Polar Baron batteries last?

Estimated runtime is approximately 2.5–4 hours on High, 4–8 hours on Medium and up to about 10 hours on Low. Actual runtime varies with temperature, wind, battery age, charging condition and heat-setting changes.

How do Polar Baron heated gloves fit?

Polar Baron is available in S–XL and fits close to standard sizing. Measure the circumference and length of both hands and use the larger measurements. If you are between sizes, begin with the larger size. Check the Arcfomor glove size guide and calculator before ordering.

Are Polar Baron gloves suitable for skiing and snowboarding?

Yes. Polar Baron is suitable for skiing and recreational snowboarding when you prefer a warm five-finger glove. Its thicker construction prioritizes insulation over lightweight finger precision, so confirm that it works comfortably with your poles, bindings and other equipment before use.

Which fingers are touchscreen compatible?

The thumb and index finger include responsive touchscreen areas for common controls such as answering a call or checking a map. Because Polar Baron is a thicker insulated glove, long messages and very small on-screen controls may still be easier with a glove removed.

Can Polar Baron be used for driving, motorcycling or protective work?

Polar Baron can be used for driving and cold-weather motorcycling, but its thicker construction may reduce fine hand control. Confirm that you can operate the steering wheel, switches and other controls comfortably before driving or riding. It is not a purpose-built motorcycle glove and does not include hard-shell impact protection, so it should not be used for track riding or professional racing. For work, it should not replace gloves designed for impact, cuts, chemicals or other task-specific hazards.

What is included with Polar Baron heated gloves?

Each set includes one pair of Polar Baron heated gloves, two 7.4V 3000mAh rechargeable batteries, one compatible charger and one storage bag.

How should I clean Polar Baron goatskin heated gloves?

Disconnect and remove both batteries, then spot clean the goatskin exterior with a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Do not soak, hand wash, machine wash, tumble dry, iron or dry clean the gloves. Allow them to air dry fully away from direct heat and sunlight before reconnecting the batteries.
