Fit & Size

• Vortex is available in unisex S–XL and fits small. Measure the circumference and length of both hands, then use the larger measurements when selecting a size.

• This is a substantial standalone motorcycle glove. It should feel secure on the handlebar without compressing the palm, pulling tightly across the knuckles or crowding the fingertips.

• If you are between sizes or near the upper end of a size range, choose the larger size. Use the Arcfomor glove size guide and calculator before ordering.

What's Included

• Vortex heated motorcycle gloves: 1 pair

• 7.4V rechargeable batteries: 2

• Compatible charger: 1

• Storage bag: 1

Care & Caution

• Remove both batteries before cleaning. Spot clean the goatskin and polyester shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap when needed.

• Avoid soaking, full hand washing and machine washing. Do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean. Allow the gloves to air dry fully away from direct heat and sunlight before reconnecting the batteries.

• Use Vortex only with compatible standalone 7.4V glove batteries. It is not designed for direct connection to a motorcycle, heated jacket or other vehicle power source.

• The carbon fiber knuckle shell and fixed palm-heel guard are built-in structural features. Vortex is designed for everyday road riding, not track use or professional racing.

Designed for Cold Airflow, Not Just Cold Temperatures

Winter riding exposes the hands to continuous airflow, so warmth depends on more than the outside temperature. Vortex combines passive insulation with an adjustable 7.4V heating system to help manage changing wind, speed and activity during cold-weather road use.

The construction deliberately feels more substantial than a slim or uninsulated riding glove. Riders moving between different gloves should expect extra material around levers and switches and should become familiar with the controls before setting out.

How the Hybrid Shell Is Distributed

Goatskin covers the entire palm and full index finger. It also extends across the knuckle ridge on the back of the hand and roughly half of the back surface of the other fingers. Polyester forms the remaining outer panels, creating a mixed-material shell rather than an all-leather glove.

This placement concentrates leather around the grip and other high-contact areas while retaining textile panels where the glove needs to flex around its insulation and internal components. Vortex is offered in one color: olive green with black protective and grip details.

Structured Coverage Around Key Riding Areas

Knuckle Area

A genuine carbon fiber shell creates a rigid outer layer over the main knuckle area.

Palm Heel

A fixed hard palm-heel guard adds structure alongside reinforced goatskin and grip texture.

Fingers & Thumb Base

Padded reinforcement adds coverage around the finger joints and the base of the thumb.

Intended Use

These components add structure around key riding areas. Vortex is intended for everyday road use and should not be presented or used as track or professional racing equipment.

Heat Across the Wind-Facing Side

3M Thinsulate™ provides passive insulation across the palm and back of the hand. The active heating elements are separate: they cover the full back of the hand and the backs of the fingers. The palm and finger pads do not contain heating elements.

High 2.5–4 hours
Medium 4–8 hours
Low About 10 hours

High is useful for initial warm-up or lower-movement periods; reduce the setting once comfortable to manage battery use. Estimates are based on the included 7.4V batteries. Actual runtime varies with temperature, wind, battery condition, charge level and changes between settings.

How the Waterproof Layers Work

The internal waterproof membrane provides the main barrier against normal rain, snow and road spray. A DWR treatment on the polyester panels helps surface moisture bead and shed. The battery pocket is closed with a waterproof zipper.

Waterproof construction is not the same as immersion protection. Avoid soaking the gloves and keep the batteries, connectors and charging components dry.

What to Expect at the Handlebar

Palm Feel & Grip

Reinforced goatskin and textured contact areas support general handlebar grip. The fixed palm-heel block will feel firmer than the same area on a soft textile glove.

Touchscreen Use

Both gloves have touchscreen-compatible thumb and index finger areas. Response varies by device, screen protector, weather and the precision required.

Extended Gauntlet

The longer cuff is designed to overlap a jacket sleeve and tightens with a drawcord. There is no hook-and-loop wrist closure.

Battery Pocket & Pairing Clip

The battery sits inside the zippered cuff pocket. A carabiner-style pairing clip keeps the two gloves together when they are off the bike.

Vortex Heated Motorcycle Gloves FAQs

Answers about heating zones, battery runtime, shell materials, waterproofing, fit, protective structure, power compatibility, touchscreen use, package contents and care.

What type of heated motorcycle glove is Vortex?

Vortex is a unisex, substantial 7.4V heated motorcycle glove designed to be worn on its own for cold-weather street commuting and touring. It is not a liner and is not intended for track use or professional racing.

Where are the heating elements in Vortex gloves?

The active heating elements cover the full back of the hand and the backs of the fingers. The palm and finger pads are not heated. 3M Thinsulate™ provides passive insulation across both the palm and back of the hand.

How long do the Vortex batteries last?

Estimated runtime is approximately 2.5–4 hours on High, 4–8 hours on Medium and about 10 hours on Low. Actual runtime varies with temperature, wind, battery condition, charge level and changes between settings.

Is Vortex a full-leather heated motorcycle glove?

No. Vortex has a hybrid goatskin-and-polyester shell. Goatskin covers the entire palm, full index finger, the knuckle ridge area and roughly half of the back surface of the other fingers. Polyester forms the remaining outer panels.

Are Vortex heated motorcycle gloves waterproof?

Vortex includes an internal waterproof membrane, DWR-treated polyester panels and a waterproof battery-pocket zipper. The gloves are intended for normal rain, snow and road spray rather than prolonged immersion, and the batteries and connectors should be kept dry.

What sizes are available, and how do Vortex gloves fit?

Vortex is available in unisex S–XL and fits small. Measure both hands and use the larger circumference and length. If you are between sizes or near the upper end of a range, choose the larger size. Review the Arcfomor glove size guide before ordering.

What protective components are built into Vortex gloves?

Vortex includes a genuine carbon fiber knuckle shell, a fixed hard palm-heel guard, padded finger-joint coverage and reinforcement around the thumb base. These components add structure around key riding areas, but Vortex is intended for everyday road use rather than track riding or professional racing.

Can Vortex connect to a motorcycle or heated jacket power supply?

No. Vortex is designed to operate only from compatible standalone 7.4V glove batteries. It cannot be connected directly to a motorcycle, heated jacket or other vehicle power source.

Do Vortex gloves work with touchscreens?

Yes. Both gloves have touchscreen-compatible areas on the thumb and index finger. Response varies with the device, screen protector, weather and the precision required. Detailed typing may be less precise in a substantial insulated motorcycle glove.

What is included with Vortex heated motorcycle gloves?

Each package includes one pair of Vortex heated motorcycle gloves, two 7.4V rechargeable batteries, one compatible charger and one storage bag.

How should Vortex heated motorcycle gloves be cleaned?

Remove both batteries and spot clean the goatskin and polyester shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking, full hand washing and machine washing. Do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean. Allow the gloves to air dry fully away from direct heat and sunlight before reconnecting the batteries.
